PERFORMANCE

The GCA curriculum includes several performance opportunities for your singer to put what she learns in the classroom, on stage! We perform in the community for several of our friends, fundraisers, we host at least 2 concerts for our supporters and neighbors, and we have special events just for our girls and their parents.

Stage performance offers a multitude of benefits for young girls, including:

  1. Confidence Building: Performing in front of an audience helps young girls develop self-assurance and poise. Successfully delivering a performance can boost their self-esteem and make them feel accomplished.

  2. Public Speaking Skills: Stage performances often involve speaking, whether it's through acting or addressing the audience. This helps girls become more comfortable with public speaking and improves their communication skills.

  3. Emotional Expression: Performing allows young girls to explore and express their emotions in a controlled and creative way. It can be a therapeutic outlet for their feelings.

  4. Resilience: Preparing for and participating in performances teaches girls how to handle pressure, overcome nerves, and persevere through challenges. They learn to adapt and recover from mistakes, fostering resilience.

  5. Discipline and Focus: Regular rehearsals and the commitment required for performances instill discipline, focus, and a strong work ethic. These qualities are valuable in all aspects of life.

  6. Teamwork and Collaboration: Many stage performances involve working with a group, whether it's a choir, a theater production, or a dance ensemble. Girls learn the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and supporting one another to achieve a common goal.

Every child is born with the innate sense of performance and display, which they remind us every time they say, "LOOK MOM!" We give them the platform to use their inner voice!
